Privacy Policy

The short version: everything you write in Begin Again, your plans, goals, and journals, stays on your own device. We do not upload it, sell it, or read it. We only collect the little we need to run the waitlist, deliver your purchase, and keep the app working.
Who we are
Begin Again ("Begin Again", "we", "us") is a small, independent product available as a web app at app.beginagainapp.site. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What stays only on your device
The content you create in the app, your Planner items, Goals, Unlearn streaks, and Journal entries including photos, is stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). It never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. Because of this, that content is tied to the browser you use. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, it does not carry over unless you export it yourself.
What we do collect
- Email and name (only if you give them). When you join the early-access list or buy access, we store your name and email so we can keep you updated and deliver your purchase. This is stored in a private Google Sheet through Google Apps Script.
- Purchase information. Payments are processed by our checkout provider, Lemon Squeezy. They handle your payment details. We never see or store your card number. We receive confirmation of your order and your license key.
- License key. To unlock the app, the license key you enter is checked for validity. We do not learn anything else about you from this step.
- Optional push notifications. If you turn on reminders, your browser and Firebase Cloud Messaging create a device token so we can send the reminders you asked for. You can turn this off any time in your device settings.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not require an account to use the app.
Who processes data for us
To run the service we rely on a few trusted providers: Lemon Squeezy (payments and license keys), Google (Apps Script and Sheets for the waitlist, and Firebase for optional push notifications), and Netlify (hosting). Each handles data under their own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and purchase records for as long as needed to support your access and meet legal or accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your email from our list at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you (your email and purchase record) by emailing wpputra90@gmail.com. To remove the content you created in the app, clear the app's data in your browser, or use the app's own delete options.
Children
Begin Again is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be shared on this page.
